John R. Roth

John joined the EMS in February 2000. He spent the previous 11 years in a materials science laboratory specializing in TEM, SEM and x-ray diffraction. His experience includes microanalysis of atmospheric particulate, industrial minerals, pharmaceutical contaminants and product deformulation. John will provide oversight of the Raman spectrometer along with lending support to the daily operations of the EM laboratory. His undergraduate and continued studies were in geology and the environmental geosciences at Northern Illinois University.
